How to replace original battries
Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:05 am
We bought this moped in 2016 and unfortunately we did not kept the batteries fully charged all the time. This seems to have lead to broken batteries.
I decided to replace them all.
I got in touch with the reseller of the moped and was told that they have a better replacement battery type than the battery type that was installed originally. I bought six new lid replacement batteries, pretty expensive ones. I could also have bought six new lithium batteries but they were even more expensive.
Unfortunately, the replacement batteries are bigger than the original batteries so I had to "rebuild" the moped a bit, after instructions from the reseller. Originally all six batteries are placed under the backseat. But now I need to put four under the backseat and two under the driver seat.
This is how I replaced them. I first removed the original batteries and the removed the driver seat.
Build a supporting floor under the driver seat.
I also put some rubber carpet for vibrations.
The batteries is placed on the new supporting floor.
It is pretty tight
To lift them up I needed to do like this, it might help if you got a friend that can help you.
Make sure the batteries are firmly tightened.
Under the back seat, I put the rest. I filled the gap with some material that I had.
Before mounting the last two on top I build a tree frame.
I finally connected all of them. I experienced an electric flash when I connected the circuit, so be very careful.
This is how I connected all of them.
Hope this post helps someone else!
